ALFEX has earned this recognition for the sixth time: The watch, model 5567, a mechanical timepiece in the Bernhard Russi collection, has won the prestigious RED DOT award for the year 2008.

This collection of mechanical watches bears the name of the renowned Swiss athlete Bernhard Russi, a legend in Swiss sports and former world ski champion AND Olympic gold medallist. Craftsmanship and styling, two words that describe the quality of the ambassador of this model series, a quality distinguishing the model that has been awarded the Red Dot.

A watch that embodies the spirit of sports, combined with excellent craftsmanship and styling. For Alfex, this recognition is the ultimate reward for its efforts in addressing the challenges of the continuing quest for design innovation. This year, Alfex will celebrate its 60th anniversary with the most design awards won on an international scale.

The Bernhard Russi sports watch incorporates a special version of the renowned Valjoux 7750 movement. It is available with a black dial and either a silver or black seconds counter. It can come with a breathable, patented leather wrist band with butterfly closure or with a stainless steel bracelet.
The characteristic features of this model are many. From the Swiss Made label to the special Valjoux 7750 movement, blue screws, the deck, the jeweled balance cock, the oscillating weight and the automatic unit with a "Côtes de Genève" imprint. The movement is visible through the back of the case.
The case is covered with a scratch-resistant, anti-glare sapphire crystal, and the time markers and hands are coated with a luminescent Superluminova material to show the time in the dark. The special over-sized crown bears the brand logo.

The Bernhard Russi model is the sixth watch selected in the famous German competition, an indication of the aesthetic and technical quality of this name brand.
